• ❖To enter for tourism purposes, one must first obtain authorization issued by a local travel agency in North Korea. Tourists are not allowed to leave North Korea outside of the capital Pyongyang. Special permission is required to travel to other areas, and tourists can only leave the capital with the accompaniment of government guides (cannot move independently).
