ℹ️Important Notes & Requirements

  • Immigration offences, such as overstay of visa, have been punishable by caning since June 12, 2004. This punishment, often combined with a jail sentence, concerns business travelers to Brunei who overstay their work visas, as well as their work associates, and others who don't abide by immigration laws. Passengers transiting through Brunei International Airport for less than 24 hours (1 day) do not require a visa. Those traveling to a third country can obtain a transit visa on arrival for a maximum allowed stay of 72 hours (3 days).
